On Campus Activities

There is always something to do on-campus! When our Cadets get the opportunity to relax and enjoy a little free time the DSA is there is provide something to do.

Throughout the school year the DSA will organize events and activities on-campus. Examples of these events include, holiday parties, BBQ's & bonfires, paintball tournaments, festivals, carnivals, themed parties, mixers, movie nights and formal military balls.

Boodle Shop

Located on the second floor of Bower Hall, the Boodle Shop is a 10,000sq/ft student center where Cadets can spend time playing video games, shooting pool, playing ping-pong, watching television or watching movies in the on-campus movie theater.

Boodle Hours of Operation

Monday – Thursday: 9am – 4pm
Friday: 9am – 4pm, 6pm – 9pm
Saturday: 2pm – 9pm
Sunday: 2pm-7pm

 

Academy Mixers

DSA offers Cadets, students from local public and private schools and friends from home to attend mixers in Mellon Hall Ballroom to enjoy 3 hours of dancing, games, light refreshments and fun. Typically mixers are held on Fridays from 730pm – 1030pm, there is no charge for entry, guests are asked to wear appropriate casual dress.

 

Formal Military Balls

Military Balls are a tradition at Valley Forge. Often these events celebrate special occasions in the lives of those invited to attend. Guests are encouraged to wear formal attire.

 

Saturday Shuttle

On Saturdays from 2pm-9pm, cadets can jump on a bus and head to the largest retail mall on the East Coast. The King of Prussia Mall is located approximately five (5) miles from campus and provides limitless opportunities for shopping, dining and other recreational activities. The bus departs the Kuncl Parking Lot each hour and is free of charge.

 

Special Events

Throughout the year the DSA organizes special parties, themed events, gaming tournaments, athletic competitions, game shows and other events. Often these are large scale productions that all Cadets, Faculty, Staff and Guests from other schools are invited to.
